Elliot Winlow arrives in St Orison intending to spend three months away from his old life. The Cornish harbour town is new to him — a place to step back, take stock and decide what comes next. But what begins as a quiet sabbatical soon gives way to intrigue, new friendships, an unexpected relationship and a growing sense that there is far more to St Orison than its picturesque surface suggests.
As Elliot becomes drawn deeper into the town and its mysteries, the past begins to feel much closer than it should — particularly when questions surrounding his son Daniel and his disappearance in 1995 begin to surface.
